Coffee Settepani Bakery .75

I'm boring you, sorry, but it's been that sort of week. After work I went to a dinner party, bringing fancy cheeses from work that were going to spoil if not eaten as my contribution to the mix. The wine, cheese and people were all fantastic last night. Not to mention the house we were in! Stewart, the birthday man at the soiree last night introduced me to a new blog that I just might love, this lady is a hoot, check it:

So, I'm sure the weekend will fill my pages with more lavish spendings beyond the usual morning coffee, we'll see?

Coffee at Ziads Deli on Smith Street .75
Duane Reade (hair color, cigarettes) $16.01

Working late again tonight, another day to be free of spending money!
But I endend up getting out of work last night early enough to meet up with the valentine in my life and had fantastic dinner at Cafe El Portal, in NoLita. Dinner was on him (thankfully). The service was incredible and the prixe fixe included a mole dish which I ordered and had food orgasms over.

So, I KNOW I'M BUSTED. Yes, I have been smoking again, which is just awful, I know. I went nearly 2 months without it, and I had one stressful night and next thing you know, slowly I'm back to smoking. I know it's not forever, but I need to quit again, and I will.
I was reading about this book, and then Jenna at work brought it up to me, saying how I may find it interesting. "Not Buying It: My Year Without Shopping", by Judith Levine.
I think with my next check I may buy it, even though it'll cost money! ha! I guess her and her husband went an entire year without buying anything non-essential to living! How wonderful, good for them. When I get it and read it, I'll tell a bit about it.

Valentine's Day
Tuesday, February 14th, 2006

Coffee at Settipani Bakery .75

It's been a long time no blogging, and It's time to start blogging again. I know this because I'm all fucked with my budget, I spent some money somewhere and I don't remember where and now I'm broke, hanging on like a thread waiting for that next direct deposit.
Not having Valentine's Day dinner with my valentine or my girlfriends, a late night at work it will be, with no time to spend money while on the job! I guess that's a good thing in my case this week.
So Back to blogging, look for my new spending updates, much more regularly.
Happy Valentine's Day! Hope y'all get lucky.
XOXO-nicole
